How to Configure F@stlink modem (E160G) when Roaming Internationally

  Questions like this can be ask;

• is it possible to use the same f@stlink E160G modem used in Nigeria; with MTN Network for instance, outside Nigeria
• is it possible to use other network different from MTN , outside Nigeria

   The answers to these questions are simply 'YES'. A very  simple thing that need to be done here is just, NETWORK CONFIGURATION. 
    It is important to know that E160G modem is pre-configured with the default settings to connected to MTN Network. These settings are stored in the profile called MTN 3G. For creating or editing new profile when roaming internationally, the following steps should be taken:

• choose tools  > options > profile management
• select a profile from the profile name drop-down list
• click modify or new configure the username, password, APN and so on
• click Advanced to select the autentication protocol 
• select CHAP & click ok to complete
• click save

Note: you can contact your service provider if additional configuration parameters are required.
When Roaming, choose and Register to a GSM Network.

• choose tools > option > Network > Registration modem
• select manual search, register & then click Refresh
• choose the network in the operator list, and then click register

                  You are done!
