WHEN THE INTERNET WEB BROWSER CANNOT OPEN A WED PAGE OR FIND THE PAGE:
It can be due to;
· Your Browser’s problem
· Poor network coverage
· PC problem
· Your Network SIM Card problem
· Internal internet providers’ problem
YOU’RE PC PROBLEM
The first thing you should do when you system is not opening a web page is to shut down the system without removing the f@stlink from it. Then restart the PC and try opening a web page. If the problem persists then it is no longer the PC problem. You can trouble shoot to for further confirm if it is PC problem
If your browser needs upgrading or when experiencing technical problem, it may not be able to open a web page. In such a condition, there are 2 things that can be done;
· You can change to another browser e.g. if you have set Moxilla Firefox as your default browser, you can switch over to internet Explorer or to Opera web browser.
· You need to upgrade the browser for better performance.
POOR NETWORK COVERAGE
If you service provider’s network coverage is poor, web pages may likely not open. Like MTN Nigeria NETWORK, they have different option for f@stlink modem Network browsing strength you can switch to in cases of poor network coverage. These include;
· 3G- 3G applications provide the fast means of accessing the internet. So f@stlink integrates 3G for fast download. In region or area where MTN network coverage is high, simply go to you MTN modem interface before you connect to the internet;
Click on tool--->option- -->Network. Choose 3G preferred fast download
· Hybrid Network (HDPA) - This is hybrid of 3G and GPRS. In cases of Network fluctuations, 3G switches between 3G and GPRS which is HDPA
· GPRS/EDGE- GPRS defines how to add IP support to the existing GSM infrastructure. It provides both a means to aggregate radio channels for high data bandwidth and the additional severs required to off bad packet traffic from existing GSM circuit. This is for low/ poor NETWORK COVERAGE. In area where network coverage is poor, simply follow the steps I enlisted in 3G to choose EDGE only. DON’T CHOOSE GPRS/EDGE ONLY
Note: Network service providers’ like GLO Nigeria, Airtel are still operating on General Packet Radio Service (GPRS).
INTERNAL INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDER’S PROBLEM
This is a technical problem associated with your network service provider. In this kind of problem, the only way to resolve the problem is to contact your service provider.
NOTE: most problems affecting internet browsing are DUE TO POOR NETWORK COVERAGE AND PC PC PROBLEMS.
